In 2008 a Sivananda yogi I was dating guided me through my first yoga class. More energy, better sleep, a growing patience, I just felt so good after a few sessions, so I continued to practice.
In 2015 I completed my 200hr YTT with Paul Dallaghan. It was during this training, under Paul’s guidance, where I also learned Pranayama, now an integral practice on my yoga path. It was also the first taste of Yoga texts and philosophy, which enabled a deeper introspection.
In 2017 I dedicated significant time towards self-growth and learning. I completed; a Kids Yoga Teacher Training with Beta Lisboa, The Dolphin Method’s Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Jennifer More, a 10 day Vipassana silent meditation course and Pranayama, Kriyas and Classical Text Training with Sri O.P. Tiwari and Paul.
All experiences over the years have helped me go inwards, be more present, more aware and mindful – elements I bring to my classes. A believer in yoga’s transformational powers, I hold space and encourage those interested in taking better care of themselves through yoga.
I really enjoy guiding pregnant women through practice, respecting the precious moment when mum is carrying her baby, helping mums-to-be connect with their baby, body and breath in preparation for birth.
