Experience and Expertise
Jennifer More has been teaching yoga for 18 years and has attended over 450 births, totaling more than 10,000 hours assisting women in childbirth, as a doula. Jennifer’s DVD, Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga is currently the best selling and highest rated Prenatal Yoga DVD in The United States. In addition, she is a certified clinical hypnotherapist, and a childbirth educator. It is withthis breadth of experience that she hascreated a unique and powerful prenatal yoga teacher training. Jennifer has witnessed the powerful impact that Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga can have on a pregnant woman’s health, well-being, confidence and postpartum recovery.
Safe and Effective Yoga Practice and Teacher Training
In her Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga trainings, Jennifer adapts Vinyasa Yoga for the needs of pregnant women, providing a system that works with the pregnant body without sacrificing the intensity that you need to prepare for childbirth. This unique approach to prenatal yoga gives pregnant women the opportunity to safely remain active and challenged in their vinyasa practice. The strengthening that occurs in this Prenatal Yoga practice prepares the necessary muscles for labor and childbirth, often resulting in shorter labor, less pain, and fewer interventions, including a decrease in the need for Cesarean sections. Learning to link breath and movements in a constant flow greatly increases the ability for women to work with their bodies, increasing the likelihood of a more natural and joyous birth experience.
More than just Prenatal Yoga
This prenatal yoga teacher training is unique in that Jennifer’s vast childbirth experience gives her the ability to teach much more than just prenatal yoga. Jennifer integrates techniques to allow women to get in touch with their bodies and the sensations they feel. These techniques are immensely powerful in labor to help change the fearful negative perception many women have about birth. She trains teachers to help women find their strength and power while surrendering and focusing during yoga. Jennifer’s Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, as highlighted in past student testimonies, is a powerful experience for the teachers themselves; some have even said the best training they have ever taken! While addressing the empowerment of prenatal women, it’s only logical that self-empowerment also happens throughout the group; many students undergo their own personal breakthroughs. Jennifer believes that Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga can be the catalyst for a positive and life changing experience of birth and beyond.

Hi Jennifer,
Your training sounds absolutely wonderful. I noticed that you are teaching 4 teacher trainings in 2016 and I just wondered (hoped!) if you were planning on offering it somewhere in Europe? I’m Canadian but currently living in Germany with my husband. I’m a yoga teacher and also certifying doula, and I really connected to your program.
Many thanks,
Manon 🙂
Hello Manon, We currently do not have any Euro trainings on the books. Come join us in Bali – it’s so nice there in Ubud. You can bring your husband – he’ll love it, too. 🙂
Hi jennifer, i was wondering if you had any training in the states in the nearby future? I live in LA. The Bali one also sounds good but its not until November.
Hello Ozzie, we are trying to get a NorCal training on the books, but this would be a multi weekend training, and probably not what you are looking for. If you can wait until November, I’d suggest coming to Bali. Have you been? It’s spectacular out there. I highly recommend it.
Hi Jennifer,
I am interested in the course. I am currently a certified pre and post natal massage therapist, no formal yoga teacher qualifications. Can I still enrol? Thanks!
Non-yoga teachers are invited to join the program with the understanding of the following 2 important points:
1. There will not be extra time and attention given to teach the basic yoga principals. The course assumes a certain level of yoga understanding which the prenatal yoga course builds upon. For experienced yoga practitioners this is generally not an issue. They have taken enough classes that they know the basics. You may well be in that category. What is your level of yoga experience?
2. After completion of the Prenatal yoga training, you will not necessarily be able to teach Prenatal Yoga. That is not to say that we will police that or that you cannot utilize these techniques with your clients, it’s mainly to acknowledge that without the core yoga teacher designation, you cannot suddenly be a Prenatal Yoga Teacher. Most studios will vet you for your training and yoga certifications before hiring you anyway.
We have had several non yoga teachers take this training, and they always find the information and experience rewarding and very useful in their careers (mostly people in the childbirth and pregnancy services industry, such as yourself)
Please feel free to reach out for more clarification.
Hi Jennifer,
I am really interested in attending a prenatal teacher training course. Just wanted to find out if the price includes accommodation or if not do you know how much extra that would be?
Thanks!
Hi – the cost of the training does not include food or accommodations. There are plenty of very affordable housing options very near to the studio. I hope this does not prevent you from being able to join the training.
Hi Jennifer, your training sounds really interesting and inspiring, can you tell us more about the typical schedule of a day : start and end time ? Many thanks.
Hi Julie – thanks for your question.
A typical day would start around 08:30 and go until around 17:30.
There are short breaks approx. every 2 hours, and a 1-1.5 hour lunch.
At this training, there will be 1-2 movie nights.
With the movie nights, we’ll have some flexibility to end early on some days.
I can only give you general times as we have not created the specific agenda for this course. Each training is unique and has a unique agenda, but the generalities apply.
Hope this helps.
Many thanks for your prompt reply!! Is there any day break planned in the middle? (Considering coming with my husband 🙂 )
Hi Julie,
Yes, there is 1 day off, on November 8
Bring your husband. He’ll love it in Bali
Hi Jenny,
Are you planning in the near future to do the prenatal teacher in South America?
Hi Margery,
Thank you for your question.
Yes, we do have an upcoming training in Lima, Peru.
I just posted the details.
You can see the information here: https://www.dolphinmethod.com/registered-prenatal-yoga-teacher-training-lima-peru-february-2-12-2017/
Please let us know if you have any questions.
We hope to see you in Lima at the beginning of next year.
Hi Jenny I already bought the ticket to Bali. I am going to be in the teacher training yoga prenatal. I am not avaible to do the registreation I am going to ask for help. See there
Dear Jennifer,
Your Prenatal course in Bali sounds lovely. Im teaching Ashtanga yoga and Am currently pregnant! In November I Will be in My 7:th month…. I Have a regular pregnancy so far. Would you consider IT wise to attend the course this year or should I wait until My baby boy is born?
Thank You,
Emma
Hello Emma,
Thank you for your question, and congratulations on your pregnancy.
The best way to answer your question is to simply let you know that several women at your stage of pregnancy have taken this course, and have reported finding it a valuable experience and were happy that they took it. Many state that it eased their fears/concerns at the coming birth. If you are in good health and your pregnancy is without any complications, you should certainly be able to attend. While full participation is not required to receive your certificate, we do require you to attend all of the training. If you are not feeling up to any particular physical portion of the course, you can find a comfortable spot in the studio and be present and observe.
We take regular breaks and encourage our pregnant students to eat small snacks through the day.
You should do what you feel most comfortable doing, and understand that we will not ask you to exert yourself beyond where you are feeling comfortable.
Hope this helps
Hi, are you planning to have another prenatal TT in Ubud this November 2017?? Thank you! Hug
Hi, We do not have a Nov 2017 training, but we will be there June 2017 (https://www.dolphinmethod.com/registered-prenatal-yoga-teacher-training-bali/)
