Melissa has been practicing yoga since 2012 and she fell in love right away as she knew it has great impact on her. Not only the health of physical body, but yoga also works wonder to calm the mind and bring positive energy. She found her passion in yoga and would love to share it by becoming a teacher. She joined teacher training in her local country through community named Yoga Mix in 2015. This training allow her to eligibly teach hatha yoga in her home country, Indonesia.
As she got married and pregnant in 2016, she interested to join prenatal yoga teacher training in order to know and learn about how yoga will affect her pregnancy journey for real. She knew Jennifer from Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga Video and feel comfortable with Jennifer style in prenatal yoga. Doing vinyasa while pregnant made her feel empowered and excited with energetic movement. She then decided to joined the Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Jennifer. She is very impressed with Jennifer’s research about yoga and how it helps pregnant woman to stay healthy, active and be prepared for labor. This training really open her mind since it provided her with in-depth knowledge of woman body during pregnancy and how yoga can positively contribute. It made her realize that pregnant woman is still capable to do such dynamic yoga movement as long as they maintain the breath and connection with their baby. In fact, pregnant woman need to be geared up with some physical strength for labor preparation as it required certain power. This training help her cope with her pregnancy health dan build up her confidence for labor.
Now that she already got lots of benefits from yoga during her pregnancy, Melissa would love to share it and support other woman during their precious time. She hopes they will enjoy their astonishing journey with the life inside their body and be ready when the time come for them to meet their little one.
